I saw another review that showed they melt at around 450F. Silicone usually becomes brittle at high temperatures, does not melt, and liquid silicone rubber also does not melt normally after molding and processing, especially at low temperatures in a household oven. check, or there is a strange accident. One way to find out: experiment! I baked these gorilla pot holders in the oven at 525F for 5 minutes. No change other than getting hot. I waited for them to cool and then used them to get and hold an aluminum jelly roll that was also 525 degrees Fahrenheit. No melting. I only felt a gentle warmth in the gloves. The outside of the gloves got very hot very quickly. Final test: my cast iron Dutch Oven at 525F. I kept it for a while. No problem, no melting. I am happy with these gloves. I just wish there was an easy way to clean the inside. They are lined with some kind of cloth material. The outside is easy to clean. *My oven thermometer is off by 25F so it might only be 500F. I did the preheat and my other thermometer still showed a higher reading.
