When working with hot cast iron, the tip of one of the gloves was pinched and torn off due to the weakness of the silicone material. Now I can't wash these gloves under running water. Only used about 3 months.

Torn and melted when you take the tin out of the oven. Super crappy quality and very disappointed in the product. I can't even get a refund for it and buy something valuable. Don't buy them! took 3 weeks!

Overall these pens work very well and are heat resistant. They are also good for the non-slip part on the outside and so far have been easy to clean. The only thing I didn't like is that they are quite slippery on the inside, making them comfortable but very slippery and your hand easily slips out if you're not careful. Everything else is great and my roommate likes to use it when cooking.

My wife and I took a trip and the cabin we stayed in had these exact oven mitts. One night we decided to stay home and bake frozen pizza in the oven. I found these mittens and fell in love immediately. First, they are very soft inside. Not like ordinary pot holders where they are soft but also rough. The outer layer is very flexible and very non-slip. I've used them in 450 degree ovens and haven't felt a thing. You are fantastic!

This is exactly what I wanted after receiving and returning a pair of finger gloves which on first use proved unsuitable for my needs. I roast, bake, and fry several times a week, so I needed something I could use to carry very hot pans and cast iron pans from the oven to the counter without burning my hands. Not the first order but they have a quilted lining so they are perfect. They are also long, so they are good for grilling. Very satisfied.

I really like these gloves. Most regular mittens have a side that protects your hand from heat and a top that has some kind of design. Flowers, holiday patterns, etc. Also, I've found that they're right-handed, at least the ones I have, so I'll have to turn one over to the patterned side and hope I don't burn myself. We love and I mean LOVE these pot holders! My wife had previously bought some square silicone pads but they were flat and didn't cover her hands (I think they were meant for putting on hot objects rather than picking them up or pulling them out of the oven like I always did). I've been wary (because I've burned myself in the past) getting my fingers too close to anything hot, in the past I've dropped things once or twice as the silicone pads just didn't have the grip or feel of protection . I saw another review that showed they melt at around 450F. Silicone usually becomes brittle at high temperatures, does not melt, and liquid silicone rubber also does not melt normally after molding and processing, especially at low temperatures in a household oven. check, or there is a strange accident.
