6 packs received. Extremely cloudy so that the milky appearance of tiny bubbles never completely disappears even after 10 minutes under running water. There is no water limit plate on them, so the filtration is adsorption, the filtration is not normal. If the water flows continuously and the mud and carbon filter have fresh water in the housings, the taste of the water is normal. However, if a drop of water stays in the filter housings for a long time, the activated carbon filter cartridge imparts a gummy taste. I think it's due to the rubber washers used to seal the top and bottom of the filter, or some spot inside the filter I can't see without cutting it open. I can smell heavy gasoline on new, unused filters, so I think food grade rubber was most likely used in their manufacture. I've used several 3M and KX Matrikx filters over the decades and have never had a gummy taste issue. .
