Review on Optimized for SEO: VANGUARD VEO Discover 41 Backpack by Brenda Wang

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lovely bag, wish they had spent some time inside after doing such a great job outside!

Well, for once, I've decided to step back and give a more full review. Also with photos! From the outside, my first impression was that the bag is quite compact and sleek, but also quite angular. The opening didn't change anything, for my mirrorless it is about 1/3 too deep (see 10th photo). That's almost 2 times more than I need. On the outside there's great facility for holding a tripod and the side zips for camera access work well but only on one side, the other side being useless unless you switch all the way of course. It also has no security considerations. It would be nice if there was a way to disable unused (and used!) zips to make them a little harder to steal. It has external pockets on both sides where the side opens but no organization panels etc. This is typical of this whole backpack. Inside there is no space for filters, pens or anything else. It's just a big compartment with velcro closures. You can also only access these dividers from the unzipped back panel, but as I show in a picture you could rearrange the dividers, probably to access the lenses from the side. Slit but you can put it out of your pocket well, that's fine with me personally. In the large compartment there is really no further storage space in the backpack. The small compartment at the top is quite small, making this bag fairly camera-focused, with little dual-use ability. It seemed reasonably well cut and assembled. Not top notch, but quite good for the price. Overall a good bag but not outstanding, it would probably be good enough but for me it's not outstanding.

Pros
  • Handy little thing
Cons
  • So far so good
