I hope this review gives you an idea of what size to buy for yourself. I'm almost 6 feet tall, weigh 170 pounds and have an average build. My waist is 34 inches, my neck is 16 1/2 inches and my wrists are about 6 1/2 inches. I ordered a "large" wetsuit and it fits just right. I doubt a medium size would fit me at all, and I think a very large would be too big. Wearing this suit, it's a bit difficult for me to bend straight down like touching my toes I do, the suit is uncomfortably tight around my neck. It's not really a problem because I can squat with my knees bent. During my holidays I wore the suit in the sea and in the pool. I'm guessing the sea temperature was around 70 degrees and I think the pool was a bit colder. I have a rather low heart rate and don't like cold water. I felt comfortable in both environments. If you have never worn a wetsuit before, be aware that some water will enter the suit next to your skin. Once the water warms up with your body, you stay warm for the most part. neck, wrists and ankles and flush plenty of fresh cold water. In this case, you can not warm up. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this wetsuit.
