Review on Fintie Premium Adjustable Replacement Smartwatch by Melissa Parker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Like new! Maybe better?

Got my Garmin 3 HR in November 2017. So far I had to change the tape about 5-6 times. Although I've found cheaper replacement bands through Revain, they all have the same problem, eventually the band will tear on one side and then the other side shortly thereafter. None of the Fenix watches come with a nylon strap, except for the Enduro and Delta models. Unfortunately my 3 hours are working great so I can't confirm I spent $800-$1400 on a new watch (yet lol). However, I wanted to find a nylon strap that would hopefully prove to be more durable over the long term and not need to be replaced every 6 months. Garmin only makes replacement straps made of silicone, leather, or metal. This band from Finite seems to have great reviews and looks pretty solid. The kit included two screwdrivers and two parts for the strap kit. Installation is as easy as installing an OEM or 3rd party silicone strap. This will require a bit more force as you will have to force the tape holder through the hole a little at each end. Except for this slight bungle. Suitable for fountains. Just as comfortable as the original. I exercise at work, run/bike/walk in the rain and do CrossFit and occasionally shower with the watch on so remains to be seen how it holds up to moisture retention. I read a review that said it does start to smell, which makes sense unless they injected some sort of anti-stink into it like a lot of clothing lines do. But for €10.99 I wouldn't count on it. I will list an update a few months after wearing.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky
