Ulcers left on my mare's ankles

Although I had high hopes for these boots on display, unfortunately I had to return them. For slower rides they seemed to do the trick but after just 45 minutes of riding/jumping my horse was bleeding from the bonds. They left dime-sized wounds, so I had to remove and reinsert them. The fit seemed normal so I don't know why they rubbed so hard.
