Bought this gate to prevent my dogs from climbing stairs (I have two small chihuahuas). When it arrived I noticed that one of the screws and anchors was falling apart so I grabbed a screwdriver and tried to put it back on. But there were already cracks at the top of the gate where every screw and dowel was fastened, so the screw was too loose. I decided to keep it and use it as is because I really needed it and it was cute and a loose screw didn't bother me too much. But after a few weeks all the screws and dowels came out! At that point it was too late for me to return it and I didn't bother to contact the seller. I'll try wood glue and see if that helps. But be aware that if you buy this gate you may have to do your own work to keep it intact. It's also no use for dogs other than miniature breeds (Chihuahua, Yorkie, etc.). My cat easily jumps over it to climb stairs on its own. I wish I could give a better overview as the goal was really great. It's just not well done at all.
