Quality sponges are a must when it comes to proper leather care. I am currently using it to clean and oil my old western leather jackets. So far the sponges have held up well to saddle soap and leather oil on top. And I'm sure they will look just as good on my saddle and halters. This makes cleaning and maintaining my truck's leather seats even easier. Also just a tip, to make your sponges last longer, store your used sponges separately in ziplock bags that say what they were used for.
