I wanted a remote controlled switch for my media room switch. At first I tried a smart hub, but the Alexa unit was far enough away (in the kitchen) that Alexa often couldn't hear me over fans/music. So I replaced it with this solution, and it works great. I also used the remaining two outlets for my lamps in the media room. if I want it darker when watching movies or playing games, or lighter if I'm writing/reading, it's just a button press away.My only complaint is the size of the units - I wish the bulk of the unit went off to the side instead of the top, so that you could install more than two of these on a standard six outlet power strip.I would buy these again!
