Lutron Caseta Smart Home Dimmer Switch - Happy!

Lutron Caseta Smart Home Dimmer Switch - Happy! Lately I've been experiencing occasional and more regular light flickering. My research has shown me that it could be the switches that are causing this. As a result, I figured I'd look at new switches to see if they would solve my flicker problems. My research led me to Lutron Caseta smart home dimmer switches. So I bought what was needed for my outdoor area in my house which includes our kitchen, dining room and common room. In our kitchen we have 3 light groups. Our main group consists of 7 ceiling lights with 2 switches. We then have 2 pendant lights above our island with 1 switch. Our 3rd group, we have 1 pendant light above the sink with 1 switch. In our dining room we have 6 ceiling lights with 3 switches. In our living room we have 4 ceiling fans with 1 switch. Based on my research I have determined what I need to purchase to replace my above switches. I bought 5 new switches, 3 remote controls with 3 wall mounts and a smart bridge. The individual switches were very easy to install. Then I had a case where I had a 3 way switch script and a 4 way switch script. I first worked with a 3 position switch - I was bad at not being able to mark the wire connected to a different colored screw when I unplugged the old switch - my inability to follow Lutron's instructions. :( This resulted in the wires being incorrectly connected to the switch the first time. The light came on but I couldn't turn it off or dim it. After turning off the switch I did a little research to figure out my problem .I figured out which wire I needed to mark. Then I reconnected the wires to the switch. Then I tried again. This time I was successful, which allowed me to turn the light off.Dim the light and of course turn the light back on In my next case with the 4-position switch, I took what I learned from the mistake I made with the 3-position switch and applied it to this situation, as suggested by Lutron for the 4-position -Switch housing instructed correct step to mark the necessary wires as indicated in the instructions, this time it was better to follow the instructions, I succeeded the first time :) The remote controls we are replaced by toggles in some cases. I was able to connect them to the designated light cluster/switch with no problem. I added a Smart Bridge to my network, installed the Lutron app and was able to connect everything in the app to all of my lights that I installed new switches for. . In addition to using switches, I can now turn lights on and off, dim lights, and create scenes with the app. Finally, I added the ability Alexa needed to work with my new lighting setup. Now I can just tell Alexa to turn on/off a specific light, dim the light, and have Alexa apply the scene I set up. It's very smooth. I am very impressed with these light switches. They are very easy to install. Connecting the light switch panels is easy. Installing and configuring Smart Bridge is easy. It's easy to set up to work with Alexa. I give Lutron an A for the ease of installation of these lights. My 10 year old son helped me with all of this and ended up doing a lot of it himself with almost no guidance. from me. It was a great experience for my son and I. I explained to him the dangers of electricity and made sure we were very careful, plus he should never try to do it himself. Safety is the top priority when working with electricity. I've changed light switches in the past and worked/helped out on some renovations, but I'm by no means an electrician. Newbie with some patience. In the end, my flickering light seems to be gone, at least up to this point. It's still early - only a few days, but very promising. This was the purpose of the update to fix the flickering light. I love it so far. Thank you Lutron for making this all so easy. Also, I would like to point out that if you don't like this do-it-yourself installation, get an electrician to help you. God saves the man who saves himself.
