This is the secret to removing decals, stickers, thin strips or adhesive residue from painted automotive surfaces. It's literally a giant eraser. I discovered this product while working in an auto repair shop during college. I've shared it with many friends over the years and it's time to add my 2 cents here. If your vehicle has an old branding decal or lettering, you will need this to remove it. It will not cut/chip paint like a razor blade. If you don't want that dealer sticker on your car, get behind the wheel. I've had the best luck with this product when using a slow rotation speed and heavy pressure. It's tough on the drill you're using — I have a special, high-quality corded drill used only for wheels — and it's a bit of a hand exercise. This product costs more than I would like. But I suspect 3m may charge a fee for a product that works. What the 3m eraser leaves behind can be easily removed with a rag and the appropriate solvent.
