My mother-in-law is over 100 years old and currently lives with my wife and me. She can walk with a cane, but needs help when showering. We put this grab bar in our shower stall but the tile had too much texture. We then moved it to a tub shower in another bathroom that has matte but smooth tile. I installed them which was very easy. then I checked them every day to make sure they were tight. I was glad it held up once set to smooth tile. In fact it's been up for a few weeks now and seems very solid even when I'm pulling it. I'm very glad I didn't have to drill any holes in the shower tile to install the grab bar. if you have smooth tiles. take one of these. the price is good and works great.
