Exactly as described. Light and small. Fits comfortably in one hand. Works great when I sit and watch TV while scanning 35mm negatives. The limited instructions are a bit confusing at first. Only 5 keys to find out. Start with power. After turning it on, you can change the scan from 14 MP to 22 MP. You have playback view options. Select the camera icon by clicking the OK button. This switches to the recording mode. Once there, place the film in the appropriate plastic sleeve. After several attempts to cope with the overlay of the door on the negative adapter, I have decided not to take them into the scanner and remove them from it. Instead, I nudged each film from the left and effortlessly moved through the negatives. With a 32GB memory card, the color field of view shows I have room for 10,000 photos. It was more negative than the scan, but not by much. When printing 4 x 6 photos you can lose 1/4 inch on the left or right depending on how you move the negative to scan. After aligning it, press the SCAN button. From there you can switch to edit mode to correct colors or contrast. Instead, I decided to leave it to an image editing software. If you are satisfied with the scanned image, press OK as the highlighted icon on the screen will prompt you to SAVE the image. It takes about 4 seconds to save until a small yellow hourglass appears over the image. The counter in the top right corner shows the number of scans saved and the number remaining. Everything is on the SD card and you can leave it there or transfer it to your computer. Easy. My intention is to scan hundreds of thousands of negatives. I have no idea how long this lightweight plastic will last. I also plan to let the small lamp rest to cool. My intention is to scan hundreds of thousands of negatives.
