We have always had problems with the shower drain getting clogged in our basement bathroom and ending up flooding the adjoining laundry room. Our house is old, built in the 60's and although it has been renovated some of the water pipes are too small for current use so this happens. We tried to keep up with the monthly sewage treatments and also avoid flushing the toilet paper but it still ended up clogging and happened again recently so I decided to buy this to protect ourselves and ourselves to help fix the problem before it floods everything. I have used another similar product in the downstairs bathroom but I have to say the quality is MUCH BETTER! It has a taller wall (twice the size of the other ones I've used), the material is thick and strong, and the adhesive is very strong so it was easy to install. I only had to use one layer of silicone to fully protect the barrier from water and now we have less to worry about flooding! Recommend this product 100%
