fit exactly. I wanted a little more and got the right size for my girls. The color is nice and they look well made. I am happy. (Last year I had a different brand for them and they lasted so long I washed them and gave them to a friend for her girls). I love the style because they wear them as sandals for hiking and then at the start of the school year until it gets cold and THEY LOVE them! But to be honest, they haven't worn them yet, so I can't comment on durability yet.
