Ideal for markers, pens and pencils!
I've used this with standard markers, pens, pencils and carpenter's pencils. All hold up equally well. I really like the length of the cord on this one. Most others on the market are only about two feet long, which is a bit short for most marking situations. It's four feet long, making it easy to mark at eye level and when you need to reach a little further. The retraction pressure is moderate, so be careful not to release until it is fully extended. I really like that I'm not always looking for my marking tool.
