Review on Acme Dog Whistle 210 5 Black by Victoria Gomez

I did NOT want a soft whistle. I want to know if it works or not. it's just me I've used a few coach whistles but the ball would get stuck in them, or the plastic whistles would break, or wouldn't blow if blown too hard or too soft. It was embarrassing to stand on deck or lean out the window and yell at our dogs to come over or stop barking. Then we have this pipe! Love it! My dogs can hear it perfectly in a large wooded area. There's something about the tone they responded to when we almost first used it. A few training sessions later and we are very happy dog owners! Even if they frantically bark at a person passing by, a rapid whistle will sound and they will drop their work and come running! did I say explosion? I hear the dogs hear but the neighbor said no! And when they do, they are very fleeting and imperceptible. This works whether you're blowing softly or hard, and when we're feeling more pushy, a few short, sharp puffs seem to send a message to the dogs to come closer, faster! The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I haven't owned it for a long time to see how it holds up over time AND a minor annoyance that it doesn't come with a lanyard was delivered. I recommend it!
