I have a motorized scanner, in fact there are many of them. The problem with this adapter is that it only has 2 functional pins. #1 is pin 16 which is a 12v power supply which obd1 is not designed for. The seller confused the 12V data line with the 12V power supply. difference in amps. This adapter also lacks a ground wire, which is normal for OBD1, but will not power your anchor scanners. That's why. If you use the correct ground the scanner getting 12V+ from the data pin could burn out your expensive ECM. The second pin is the common data line K, and that's fine. Garbage. It will not work with or without the scanner turned on unless it is designed to be connected to 12V ground. Also, discharging positive 12V from the battery and negative 12V from the scanner is a quick way to destroy both.
