Review on Koh-I-Noor Progresso Woodless Watercolor Pencils Tin Set - 36 Colors by Tara Ford

I love this brand and thought they would be good.

I like this brand and thought it would be good too. I was disappointed that they came with a damaged glass and broken tips. I haven't used them yet. I'm trying to decide I either send them back or keep them. New update. Yes, I still love these pens. I love how they glide and are such a rich color. I would advise you to use a lighter hand with these as it is a pressed pigment with a binder. No wooden barrels. They can be a bit brittle, like the colored pencils of our youth. I broke 3 of mine due to a heavy hand. I have used heavy duty packing tape (scotch tape) on broken kegs. I use a professional electric sharpener. (so the tape didn't stick and the rubber wasn't just in one layer) When sharpening by hand. I would suggest using a utility knife to score (just the tape) and remove before sharpening. This resolves the crash. For now, but I'll lose a bit of pencil length as I get closer to the crease. In general. I highly recommend them to both serious artists and color lovers! Added note. Who needs a damaged can? I keep mine in an old-fashioned frosted jar with short, wide-necked Mason jars. I dropped the can.

Pros
  • Stationery
Cons
  • Some insects
