This is not my first weighted blanket but definitely my favorite. 1. There are two components: a weighted blanket and a removable cover. Most other brands I've tried don't have a lid that just cleans everything in place. For those with children or who use it regularly, this is problematic. This weighted duvet cover can be thrown into the washing machine like a duvet cover, which is much smarter. 2. The actual weighted quilt has quilted squares that evenly distribute all the weighted beads. Some of the other brands I've tried either don't do it at all or do it well enough that the beads collect in one spot, making it virtually useless.
