Netgear is a big name among routers. This model performs well, is easy to set up given the number of features, and was sold at a reduced price of $69.99 because it was certified remanufactured. This not only improved the 2.4GHz wireless connection in the big house, but also made the 5GHz wireless signal strong enough to be used anywhere. That's a HUGE performance increase. Just to make sure everyone understands, 5GHz offers faster data transfer rates than 2.4GHz. But 5GHz also has a shorter range. This means that 5GHz connections are often actually slower than 2.4GHz connections because the signal is weaker. This router with its antennas really improves the performance of all my wireless devices in my house. It's like having faster internet speeds without paying for anything other than this router.
