My wife bought this to hang in our bedroom so we could have some extra light over our reading bed, along with an Edison bulb and 15ft pendant cord from Lightingsky and all three together cost less than $20. She chose it because she liked the vintage industrial style and didn't want anything with a lampshade. Using a 60 watt bulb, it adds just enough light without being too bright, but I imagine you'd want a lower wattage bulb if you're using it as an accent light. Basically we are satisfied. with it, and they're cheap enough that you can buy a few and try many different uses for them.
