Updated ugly fan Best in Incandescent

Teenage son has his own bedroom but the existing fan/light is dated and a bit too 'rustic' for his liking. It's easy to swap out the glass shades for these cages to give them a more industrial look. Took less than 10 minutes. I'll end up replacing the fan blades with straight edges to complete the look. I used an extra cage on a light fixture in a closet that just had an open bulb. Don't worry about it breaking anymore! The material is durable and lightweight. Seems well done.

  • Great price

Stylish and easy to use!

I'm obsessed with these lamp grilles! I used them to update an ugly outdated vanity mirror light. I painted over the "mirror" background with copper paint. Then attach these protective covers to each light fitting and insert vintage Edison LED bulbs (4W dimmable) into each light fitting. The bathroom has a warm vintage glow and looks great at night. I don't use this room for makeup or the lighting would be too yellow but it helped for the style and ambiance in the rented bathroom!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Used them on my pendant lights

They work well. I just want this company to sell bottom cap designs. I'd have them right away if you sell them! I see they are sold in light sets but. I only want shadows. They will work for now but I really like it, they don't charge much for it, $4 is a pretty good deal and how much a shade SHOULD cost. I don't know why I see other options sold just for the $60 metallic shade, but it's confusing to me. Stimulate more consumption? I don't know, but at least this company sells affordable shades

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Cheap protection does the job

I use them in garages and open end closets. They will fit correctly on fixtures with a groove or ridge for the lampshade and flat sided fixtures should be fine, but on curved fixtures the fit becomes questionable. You may be able to bite into the bent plastic fitting, but it is easy to break. If you have the chance I would make sure you have an eyelet attachment. It can be a little inconvenient to set them up on a ladder in a tight space. The mounting screws are on opposite sides, which can…

Good for extra lighting and decoration

My wife bought this to hang in our bedroom so we could have some extra light over our reading bed, along with an Edison bulb and 15ft pendant cord from Lightingsky and all three together cost less than $20. She chose it because she liked the vintage industrial style and didn't want anything with a lampshade. Using a 60 watt bulb, it adds just enough light without being too bright, but I imagine you'd want a lower wattage bulb if you're using it as an accent light. Basically we are satisfied…

Fiction! - Lightbulbs

I had pendant lights (Bronze) that I wasn't thrilled with and actually decided to spend the money to replace them with something else. I wanted a more rustic look. Well when I was looking for Edison light bulbs I stumbled upon them and thought at $20 this would be a good inexpensive solution. I had to remove the screws to fit my specific mount but they looked great! They fit well and are secure (unless someone decides to take them off). So the replacement tags are back in stores for over $300…

Create your own fashion lamps!

I love these metal wire frames for pendant lights! We have just remodeled our home and decorated the main living areas with rustic/industrial decor. I went to a hardware store and found wire cage pendant lights, but they cost over $100 each! We used these clip-on wire frames along with pendant lights in combination with Edison bulbs to recreate the look of the fixture I liked at a MUCH cheaper price (about $22 per fixture for the pendant, wire frame, and LED bulb !}. I love the look and…
