First I ordered 14/16 because according to the size chart this is my son's size. Both trunks were small. I reordered the same two pairs in the next size up (18/20) and the pair I received in this size fit perfectly. However, I was sent the same size (14/16) as before for the second pair. Unfortunately I couldn't exchange these shorts as we were going on holiday the next day and he needed them. My son's height and weight ended up being 14/16 but they were too tight at the waist/hips. And when I reordered a larger size, they sent me the wrong size for a set. Otherwise they were great swim shorts for the price. I was just frustrated with the difficulties I was having in choosing the right size.
