smaller than expected

The opening on them is small which limits their use. The part where you insert the bag is 0.3" and the center of the hole is 0.48". It works very well for thin and flexible plastic (like regular grocery store bread) but is too small for thicker and more rigid plastic. If you plan on using them with items in thin pouches, great. Just understand the limitations and you will be happy.
