Things I learned with this Kuerig

I have had this Kuerig since January 2019. Since I had enough time to use it I decided to write a review now. First, the guide for this querig is simple and to the point, which I like. However, like others, I had problems brewing after just a few months. After countless Google searches, I was able to find out many of the problems that arise. To help others, I want to save you some headaches and explain what problems you will have and how to fix them. The first thing you need to understand is that when the water is hard, Kuerig inevitably clogs. This will leave the cups half full, no water will flow out and worst case scenario, water will flow back into the tank causing the water to overflow the Kuerig and spill water everywhere. To fix this, fill the tank halfway with white vinegar and the rest of the tank with water. Take a big mug, I mean big. Because when you boil the vinegar and water mixture, the calcium that has accumulated in the water hose is removed, causing all the water remaining in the hose to come out and producing more water than you added. So make sure it's a large cup or mug. Then add clean water to the tank and brew again to remove the vinegar and water mixture. Keep in mind that you may have to do this multiple times. The second problem you might have is that the Kuerig works but the coffee doesn't brew and you only get water. This is due to clogged needles. Simply remove the cup holding the K-Cups and wash with soap and water. I also found that the reason for this was that my husband had left the K-cup in the kurig after brewing and the next morning when it was time to brew again the needles were clogged. So be sure to remove K-Cups after brewing. Overall, I like the comfort of this machine. We had a regular coffee maker for a long time, but we never drank all the coffee. With the coffee maker, it was always trial and error figuring out how much coffee to add, which always resulted in coffee being wasted. This way we don't waste coffee, and by switching to a reusable K-cup we also save on plastic. In other words, we're very happy with this thing.
