The digits are almost ridiculously large, but the fact that they don't have a backlight means the large digits make it easier to read in low light. It required almost no setup. I changed the setting to Daylight Saving Time and then to my time zone, then put both batteries in and they settled within two or three minutes. The exterior is attractive and goes well with our living room decor. The only change I'd like to see, and I'd be willing to pay extra for this feature, is a wired version with an ultra-low backlight. I still wish there were batteries in it, but when running on wired power it would be great if the background was barely lit for less bright rooms. It would also mean the batteries would have to be replaced every few years instead of every few months. The display shows AM/PM, hours:minutes, month/day, day of the week, ambient temperature, seconds and then a readout like it's hooked up for atomic energy. Accuracy. The thermostat reads about three degrees colder than my household thermostat, but I have no idea which is more accurate. I can't comment on the durability of the watch as I only received it this week, but so far I'm happy with my purchase.
