To dive into digital film photography, I needed easy access to my new camera's USB port and memory card readers. This little box fits perfectly in my computer's empty 3.5" bay. The only thing that worries this reader is the RED power LED. And I mean RED! It wouldn't be so bad if they just used a red LED, but this thing is bright. like a navigational fire on 747 BRIGHT! I'm fortunate that my case design has the front of the reader recessed so it blocks out the light, but if it didn't I would probably void the card reader warranty and cut the power LED cable! , it's a simple installation. Just make sure you have a 9 pin USB connector on the motherboard or USB card to plug in. The additional beige and silver faceplates are a nice touch! I stayed attached to the black one. Good card reader for the price!
