🔌 Enhance Connectivity with Connectland 3.5" Drive Bay Internal Card Reader (CL-CRD20036) Review

I have bought about 10 of these readers in the last 18 months and each one worked and still works, ie. something to say as card readers don't seem to have a premium brand. The only downside (albeit minor) is that some of them have a too bright red LED that stays on all the time and won't turn off even when the PC is off - you'll have to turn off power from the PSU. Love the fact that it comes with all three main bezel colors and a microSD slot. The price on these at Revain is the best I've seen

I got tired of the external card reader cluttering up my desk (and taking up a front USB port) so I bought this internal unit. I've tested CF, SDHC (8GB), and Pro Duo slots (I don't actually have a Pro Duo card, but it works with a microSD card in a Pro Duo adapter). The device works fine on my computer, wins Windows XP and recognizes all 8GB of my SDHC card. Each slot has its own drive letter. It clutters up the "My Computer" window a bit, but I think it allows you to access more than one card

To dive into digital film photography, I needed easy access to my new camera's USB port and memory card readers. This little box fits perfectly in my computer's empty 3.5" bay. This card reader is a really good product with quality components. I would rate it 5 stars if it wasn't difficult or impossible to insert an SD card. It worked well without bezels. Upon inspection I see that the faceplate(s) are not properly aligned with the internals. I tried to move the inner component but couldn't move it for fear of damaging it. In any case, I noticed a slight misalignment and was able to insert the SD card at an angle of about 30°. That misfortune aside, this USB/card…

I didn't expect much for €8 and was certainly not disappointed. When the box was opened, the extra bezel packaging was already open and appears to have been replaced. The description and photo show beige and silver overlays. As many others have said, the product does NOT match the description.
