This really requires a bayonet adapter so you can drain it into a portable tank. When we finally got it working, it was great. Unfortunately it came with very loose fittings in the wiring. Shrink wrap wasn't applied and the wires came loose. So it was a mess. Still working on it to work properly. No way will I try it returning as I've used it before. Note that the wiring may not be correct when you receive it and you may have to redo everything. I'm not an electrician so it's a big learning curve. Pretty disappointed but I did keep it because i hope i can figure it out.if you are electric inclined you can just take the pump en and take care of your own cabling. It would probably be cheaper. Also, I had to run to a hardware store in a high country town and they helped me figure out how to get from this 1" drain pipe to an adapter that I then attach to a 3/4" garden hose adapter and then attach could a gray tank bayonet, and it finally worked. Of course, that's when I learned that portable trash cans don't necessarily have to have a good vent valve. At least I learned to look at it before it exploded! Oh camping. It's still better than a hotel!
