I don't know how they work or anything. I bought it with the spirograph that I gave my niece for her 6th birthday. I chose them because they looked like the tip of the pen was long and thin enough to fit the holes in the Spirograph parts. The amount of pens and colors seemed like a really great value. I'm sure my niece will benefit a lot from it! I didn't know what "transparency" and "thickness" meant, so I didn't rate them. When thickness refers to the size of the nib or tip, both are thin. as they are shown. Ideal for small hands and delicate work. I wouldn't say this is the best option for a large male hand. rzunimag.
