This dock works great with my Yaesu FT3DR (purchased June 2021). It charges the radio about twice as fast as the supplied charger. It takes Doc about 4.5 hours to charge a dead radio. The radio will not display anything while charging as the radio is being charged directly from the battery and not through the charging port. There is an indicator that flashes red for charging, green for charging, and green for charging complete. At $10 less than the Yaesu brand docking station, this is an absolute buy.
