They protect against bruises and scrapes but are not proper wrist guards to minimize wrist pinching. I saw them and realized that they are necessary. You look comfortable. The protective pads are of decent quality and do what they are supposed to do. I also like that they can be adjusted for older children as well. Pretty good product.
