Dealer-level diagnostics at an affordable price!

The Launch X431V offers dealer-level diagnostics at an affordable price. Comprehensive data flow information, online trouble code information for diagnostics, actuator testing, and special features like throttle learn, injector coding, and service light reset provide technicians with more diagnostic data than other scan tools that are much more expensive! In addition to engine control, anti-lock brakes, airbag, air conditioning, cruise control, instrument panel, immobilizer, TPMS, etc. can be accessed and diagnosed using fault codes, data streams, actuator tests and much more. Make sure you download the tool, register and upload all diagnostic data, then the available diagnostics for cars can be viewed on the DEMO page. Very wide coverage of almost all cars in the world from 1996 to present. Don't see what you need? Then make sure to update regularly as new information is added. In addition, you are encouraged to submit vehicle reports for which a specific module or test is not available. Yes, the system has diagnostics for 2018 vehicles, but in many cases this information is not readily available on the aftermarket, so cars, especially new cars, sometimes have limited diagnostics. However, most of the cars I have tested so far are very well protected. The only thing this scanner is NOT good for is J2534 pass-through reprogramming; and I'm not interested in getting into that part of the diagnosis and repair. Therefore I believe this scanner is the BEST VALUE available for diagnostic capabilities on a very wide range of vehicles. The shipping was fast and on time, the item was new in the box and well packaged, I was able to easily charge and recharge the tool, and the customer service is great! If you just want a big screen, spend another $400 on the V+ PRO. Otherwise, the X431V is the same tool and does exactly the same thing. Update August 20th: I've been using Launch for about a year and a half. The tool provides exceptional diagnostics given the wide range of vehicles I typically work with. However, my main reason for this upgrade is to impress the buyers/users of this device with great customer service and support. About three weeks ago I couldn't log into my account to perform a software update. My password was not accepted. This was NOT due to a problem with Launch, but rather a technical issue with my internet service and wifi. I contacted cnlaunch about my problem. Someone named Monika helped me with my problem. Keep in mind that this had nothing to do with the launch product, but Monica did everything I could ask to get my scanner working again. This included resetting my username and password AND providing a link to download the latest version of the Launch X431V app which now includes more diagnostic features than ever. Monika also checked if my scanner actually works! Note that there is a delay of about 12 hours when contacting cnlaunch.com technical support. If you message here in the US during business hours, they're on the other side of the world, so you'll get a response in about twelve hours. I recommend contacting Launch Technical Support if you have any issues or questions about a product before canceling and returning it. Scanner. I'm an old retired mechanic who still advises on diagnostics and I've been using scanners since they were introduced in the 1980's. I still think for the money the launch system is the best money can buy. Are there better scanning tools? Yes, but they cost thousands of dollars and are dealer quality tools. If you need such a system, you're probably trying to get dealer-level service. Much luck. If the run doesn't diagnose it, I'd better not intervene at all. I'm too old for a big ego in the 21st century auto shop world! PS: I get a lot of questions on Amazon regarding the specific features of the Launch X431V. Let me say that; If I have personal experience of something, I'll tell you. However, I am unable to answer some questions about specific functions (e.g. key programming, resetting, etc.) until it is connected to that particular vehicle and an attempt is made to perform that function. In general, the newer the car, the wider the coverage. Launch prompts users to submit a report (via a scanner) on issues with specific vehicles. The more feedback they get, the better the tool becomes. This benefits all users of Launch products.
