Review on Review: Ware Manufacturing Plastic Lock-N-Litter Pan for Small Pets – Colors May Vary by Stephanie Miller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Oh god he thinks it's a bed.

upgrade so I'm already changing the rating of the review. It's been two days and it really works. Yesterday he pooped around the potty and in so hard I had to wash his sheets. After yesterday's washing, I got up this morning and saw that all the feces and urine were in the hay pot. Hooray! What I did after cleaning the cage was throwing the droppings on the grass (good manure). I didn't wash the potty as planned because I remember reading about a guinea pig smelling its own urine and possibly using the same area. Since his pee and poop are odorless (my office still smells like renus bumps lol) I kept dry pee in a pot for him to sniff and by morning it was filled with poop, hay and poop, no poop in the Vicinity. cell in general. He may have peed around the cage but I can't tell with the blue sheets so I'm concentrating on the poop for now. However, he still lies on his poop, unhappy about it because he's still getting dirty. I bought a guinea pig shampoo and am hoping it will roll up in hay or wool after a bath. I have no issues with the construction or strength of this container. The problem is its usefulness. The guinea pig mistakes it for a bed and not a potty. On the advice of others, I put some hay and poop in the trash can so he could see where he was "going". He's still pooping outside but goes in to lay on the poop I put in him. I wanted to get the one with the wire on top so he wouldn't sleep on the poo, but was told it was bad for his legs. So I got this one that looks like a shovel. I'll keep training because the last thing I need is a stinky pig, it hasn't been smelled yet. If he starts using it as a potty I will change my star rating and update this review.
