Review on 🔳 Leviton 47612-28B Structured Media Center 280 Series Extender Bracket, White by Issac Smart

Leviton Media Center that requires this extension. Each corner of the media center has threaded holes for attaching the cover. I assumed that the extender would attach to the media center using these threaded holes, and then the cover would attach to the extender using the threaded holes in the extender. NOT CORRECT! To save $0.02, Leviton offers 4 long screws that go through the cover through the unthreaded holes in the extension, and then attached to the original threaded holes in the media center. This means you cannot place anything inside the media center extender when the lid is off, as it is not attached to the media center when the lid is off. How stupid is that? I had to get some shorter screws to attach the extender to the media center, then I found some 8 x 3/8" J clamps that I used to attach the cover to the extender. After my modifications, the product is perfect and working as it's supposed to. But in my opinion it will NOT fit straight out of the box. I then found some 8x3/8" J-clamps to attach the cover to the extension. After my modifications the product is perfect and works as it should. But in my opinion it does NOT fit right out of the box.
