Not as soft as expected

Bought to replace an old one I've been using for 3 years. My old one is Mayfair Egyptian Cotton 800. Unfortunately Mayfair doesn't only have white queen bed linen. So I choose this one. The fabric is not as soft as my old one. Well, it's just the first wash. I hope it gets softer after every wash. Cotton works this way. The yarn gets softer and softer after each wash. I hope I'm right. As I love the texture of my old one but accidentally tore it I need a replacement. I will update the softness in a few months.
