Review on Samsung P2770HD 27 Inch Full HD Monitor with Built-In Speakers by Neranga Richmond

SEE TLDR BELOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ ALL. I bought it a month ago, absolutely no problems with it. Outstanding picture quality! The built-in speakers are sufficient if you don't expect too much from them. The key LEDs are very dim, but easy to see in a well-lit room. Remote makes it easy and fast to change settings. As a computer monitor this is a good buy, but if you're looking for monitors for pure PC gaming you might want to check out the 16:10 monitor. However if you need a monitor/tv then this is probably the best you can get at this size. Reddish/sharp details on the edges look good. This is not a thin model, so it is heavier. It has a handy handle on the back if you want to take it with you. The base is adequate, allowing you to tilt the screen up and down, but not side to side. It wobbles if you hit it or the table it's on, but that's not a problem as long as you don't move around too much. It comes with a 6ft HDMI cable, but in my experience you don't use it with computers. This leads to poor reading of the text and poor quality. I read somewhere that this can be fixed, but I've been messing around with the settings for a while and couldn't get it to look good. It is best to use VESA or DVI for your computer. The HDMI cable is good for a TV or gaming system and will get 1080p from my record with sound with no problem. It has a composite input, headphone output and 1/8 inch audio jack in addition to HDMI, DVI and VESA standard on this type of product. TLDR: Great screen if you plan to use a computer and game. System/TV/DVD on it. Excellent picture quality, solid (enough) construction, user-friendly menus and settings. Adequate sound (don't expect too much). Anyone looking for a pure gaming monitor for their PC should look elsewhere (aspect ratio 16:10 and/or higher resolution).
