Other reviews mention that the thickness restricts airflow. I haven't had this problem. They are reusable. To clean, I simply hose down the filter, gently squeeze to remove excess water, and let it dry outside. They fit snugly over the grille cover and have cutouts for the tabs to remove the covers. My biggest complaint is that they are difficult to keep in position when closing the grill lid. The filters are said to be held in place by two tiny hook extensions that are too small to be effective. I finally solved this problem by gluing 4 strips of Command Velcro to the mesh cover, 2 to the front of the cut out mesh cover and one on each side with matching detailing on the filter.
