To get the liquid out you have to suck on the lip of the bottle top. That felt too weird to me. I thought this was like those invalid/bedridden cups that have a long straw and a screw-on top. Or, maybe if the valve snapped down to prevent spills but you could leave it up. But, when tipped this bottle doesn't spill one drop and it has a nice, wide opening so you can clean it with normal kitchen tools. I need an adult sippy cup because I drink pink and orange sodas all the time that stain carpet and upholstery badly (why does Crystal Lite and Sunkist have to be permanent nuke colors?!?). Also, I'd prefer the water bottle be made out of stainless steel or glass because I don't love drinking out of plastic. I am going to try the silicone covers with a straw that slip over your glass next. This felt too weird to me. It was worth a try though.
