I bought this because our kids love to play with blinds and broke a few. It was delivered super fast. As above. We filled a small aerosol can that we bought at Walmart in the travel department. We filled with water and 2 pumps of dish soap. After cleaning the windows with Windex. We sprayed the mixture on the window. Then the transparent base was removed and also sprinkled with the water mixture. We cut it to fit before we do! Then we stuck it to the window and smoothed out the film with an old card. After it was smooth we carefully trimmed it with an Xacto knife. It was a bit springy, but it dried pretty quickly! You will definitely not regret your purchase. Would be a great alternative! We bought two rolls. One on each side of our front door.
