Fixed settings - not too expensive
I use this to get a zoom DSLR (configured to work as a webcam) at a good angle for online art demonstrations. I was looking for some sort of dart or dart that could be mounted on a tripod so the camera could reach the drawing board. It seemed to have the longest range available without jumping onto a six- or seven-foot boom or building some sort of attachment to mount the camera on it. The whole mount seems light, but everything is secure and doesn't slip. I counterweighted the camera at 12 1/2 pounds. Bar plates - and the whole setup seems stable.
