Stay away from brand name apex filters
This filter does not work. I used the TDS Hone Forest Meter, the results are below. I live in Long Island, NY FYIT Tap water: 149ppm Apex filter: 165ppm Soft filtered rainwater: 8ppm As you can see it's even worse than tap water! I'm writing this review now because I'm finally throwing it away after 1 year on the counter. I hope my review saves you time and money and the frustration of having to install it only to find out it was wasted time and money plus all that unclean water getting drunk thinking it's clean! Shame on you Apex!
