I did some research and was dying to have and use this item. Unfortunately the speaker doesn't do anything. Literally out of the box, plug it as directed and the red light on Connection for accessories but I'm not getting any power The remote control didn't turn on any lights maybe because the main unit won't turn on I don't know But what I do know is that I'm very angry because I really wanted it works. I used to do car audio so I'm not a fan either. Just very, very disappointed with it. Looking at it without power it's exactly as described. Two laps of space at the top - 3 screw holes /8". i would say a nice addition I just wanted to plug that in and work on other things that needed attention.
