When I discovered this little amplifier on Amazon yesterday evening (08/03/2018), there were still 16 left. When I thought to myself the next night that maybe it might be fun to have a second one for a blue tooth that was supposed to be tapped in the shower? They have completely disappeared. I expected them to be fast but damn! Okay, so I bought this to use mainly for testing purposes. I have three pairs of Dayton Audio B652-Airs that I bought a while ago to use for "5" in our 5.1 surround sound setup in our theater. The B652-Airs get rave reviews, sound exceptionally good for the price, and are popular with those looking to mod budget speakers for better performance. I wanted to do the same thing so I needed an amp. This one has the infamous/extinct Tripath TA2020-020 amp chip, it's selling for a good price and already has some positive reviews. so he came to my house. First impression: Well packaged, nothing superfluous inside. In an ordinary brown box with a company logo and slogan? there was a two-page one-page instruction manual, a power adapter with a socket, an amplifier and some soft foam to keep everything safe. No frills, but probably more than I expected for the $30 I paid including shipping. Amplifier: Good basic amplifier. Everything is clearly marked and everything is firmly fixed. Nothing dangles or dangles from it. It is certainly well constructed from what can be learned from the outside. All knobs are easy to turn and reach, which is not always easy for a man with big hands. Power: Obviously, amplifier power is best measured using scientific equipment, which I don't have. For the first 30 minutes of listening, my ears told me the sound from good sounding speakers sounded fine, nothing sounded muffled, stuffy, or electric (think cheap pocket radios and the sound that comes from them to understand how I the use of the term "electricalโ). "). I found that I wanted to take the time to keep listening and skip other things I had to do because I enjoyed just listening to music. One thing I always watch out for is excessive "Hiss" when the speaker is plugged into an amp that isn't playing or isn't connected to a sound source. While this amp, like most others, definitely has something, it is from a distance of more than a foot or less imperceptible when the amp is turned to full volume If you made it this far? I understand that I am reviewing a limited edition amp that has already sold out and may never come back. But if you are reading this and it's available again is?And you are reluctant to buy it?Don't have to.Just buy it, it's worth more than $30 and you'll be glad you got 5 stars unconditionally. Also love to put photos in the rez ensions I read, so I've included a few for anyone who might be interested. I didn't have time to measure the dimensions of the amp, but I've included a can of Pepsi for sizing reference. Thanks for reading, I hope it was helpful to someone.
