I am very happy with my Frye moccasins. I have a nice pair of vintage Johnston & Murphy shoes for when I need to dress up, but my job tends to be casual. pants, shirt and tie. A jacket is not needed, but maybe once a week. Therefore, these moccasins are worn 4 times a week for at least 10-11 hours a day. I'm a solid 9 in everything and ordered 9 - they fit perfectly. A little snug but fully adapted to my foot in 3-4 long days of work. Now they slide and sit like a glove on my foot. I know it's a cheaper Frye line, made in China, not Mexico, but you can't tell from these boots. Absolutely first class leather and fit and finish. The solid wood heel is wrapped in a comfortable protector. In fact, they are more like a fashion show on hard ground. For the price (about a hundred) nothing came out. Ecco makes very similar shoes, but the price is almost 50% higher. There is a lot of debate about sizing and many advise ordering a size down. I would STRONGLY warn against this as I couldn't fit 1/2 size smaller. Mine was true to size and fit my foot perfectly. After a week of work, they were perfectly sized and stopped stretching. I polished them for the first time this weekend and really liked the slight color change. This is a strong saddle leather. Scuffs and scrapes look good on this shoe and add character. A good polish will blend them and add to the look. Very well done Fry!
