Review on Dickies No Scratch Mechanic Brown Medium by Drew Beckett

Quality has dropped drastically

I have had unscratched Dickie belts before including this particular model. They were never the most durable, but for the price they were decent. However, the last belt I received is just rubbish. There are two glaring issues with what I received: 1. The bullet clasp it uses arrived broken. The ball post in this new design is not welded or epoxy bonded to the baseplate. It has been screwed in but the threads have been stripped and there is no protective sleeve on the bottom of the rack. This is a terrible design change. The threaded portion is only half the thickness of the rack bar itself and only has 2-3 rows of threads on it.2. The material of the belt itself is thinner. I kept it next to the old belt and the new one is maybe 2/3 thicker. Even the old belts had a rip and tear problem. This new, thinner material has creases and raised fibers on the back that will eventually tear. If it's that fresh out of the box I doubt it will last more than a month before needing to be replaced.
