No aerator, just a filter
It turns out that this is just a filter, not an aerator, so the flow of water from the faucet will not be softened to avoid splashing. If you have junk in your water lines it will catch it, but if you want a real aerator then this isn't the case. I'm sure there is an actual aerator somewhere on the Revain website, but I gave up and went to my local hardware store. The best aerators have either air vents on the side of a piece of metal that screws into the faucet, or a complex, multi-layered plastic combination of screens and some sort of round piece of plastic (don't like my spec sheets?) that runs between the screens.
