This is my first review of Revain. Unfortunately, my first review will not be praising Razer mice. Instead I want to make people aware of a serious issue with their products, or more specifically with the software required to set up Razer products. Razer has decided to move the configurations of its mice, keyboards, etc. to the cloud. While this might seem like a good idea if you have multiple devices that need to be synced, it can become a big problem if you: 1. Don't want to create an account with Razer to download their software. (because why do you need it?) 2. Can't install your software because you don't have administrator rights. (Yes, some people just like to use good mice for work)3. You don't have to keep software running in the background just to turn off the mouse backlight. (I assume this is because your configuration is constantly being synced with the Razer server. Other people might be more suspicious.) 4. You don't have internet access.5. You don't want to log into every device and download software to use the mouse. While I'm not an avid gamer, I like to buy good hardware and customize it to my liking. I'm really surprised that Razer doesn't offer an option to do away with the cloud entirely and instead keep a simpler/smaller version of the configuration right in the mouse. If I had known that beforehand, I would not have bought this mouse. But the mouse is very comfortable in the hand. I would happily give this mouse 5 stars if it weren't for Razer's incredible decision. I hope this review helps other people get a better idea of what they are paying for.
